Local Taxi Cab Rates

Richmond, Hanover, Henrico and Chesterfield Counties have adopted uniform rates which are computed by a meter, using both time and mileage. They are summarized as follows:

$4.10 for the first mile and $2.00 for each additional mile. ($2.50 for the 1st 5th of a mile and $0.40 for each additional 5th of a mile).
$1.00 for each extra Passenger over six years old.
$1.00 Night Surcharge between 9:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
$0.30 a minute waiting time.

Waiting time starts five minutes after the arrival time at the pickup point or after the appointment time for advance calls.
Waiting time accumulates anytime the cab is moving less then 15 miles per hours; stop lights, traffic delays, or at stops directed by the customer.
TOLLS are not indicated on the Meter and are the responsibility of the passenger.
